High Rock Lookout

Taken from the trailhead. Our destination is the High Rock Lookout. It's at the tip of the first rock formation from the left top of the picture. 09/26/09: I am seeing a lot of visits to this group of photos in the past two months. Can someone leave a comment where they are linking from? I'm happy to see the traffic; just curious of the origins. Thanks. Kelly Grimm

High Rock Lookout

Mt Rainier and the Lookout. What a gorgeous day....

High Rock Lookout. The rock face was steeper than it looks. The Forest Service provides a cable to provide some balance.

From just below the lookout, Mt Adams (left) and Mt St Helens (right). Unfortunately, I was shooting in to the sun, so the haze appears worse than it was.

Back at the trailhead. As you can see, the family was ready and eager to return to civilization and a late lunch / early dinner.
