Steve navigating his way through a washout from last Novembers floods on FR 26. This road is technically closed, but those with 4 wheel drive can get around/over the road damage.
Another view from FR 26. Note the new growth in the foreground and on the right side of the hillside. Yet the section to the left shows virtually no new growth. This entire area was devastated in the original eruption. Nature is reclaiming the area at a rapid pace.
